Resident Kerry wins Small Charities Coalition Star of 2021

Kerry is a resident at St Paul’s and lost her partner 9 years ago. Events followed including an abusive relationship & losing her home.

She benefited from our counselling service and kitchen assistant training programme, reconnected with her family & gained mentoring & counselling qualifications. She goes above & beyond to help residents & staff – Raising the profile of homelessness by attending events to share her story.

She helps encourage, enable & support others to attend counselling and hospital appointments. A positive influence on others & a peer mentor. Volunteers in our kitchen, supports other volunteers to make sure that residents feel welcome; runs social activities for residents. The list is endless! She is our shining star!
