St Paul’s has an opening for a Relief Project Worker. We require bank staff to cover holiday, sickness.  There are 3 shift patterns; 9.00am to 5pm, 10-3 during the day and 4.30pm to 9.30am sleeping in from 12 midnight to 7am.

St Paul’s Hostel first opened in March 1977 as a response to the high numbers of people in Worcester sleeping rough. The Hostel has 46 beds and is a complex needs mixed hostel and it is staffed 24/7 with at least 2 staff members on site at all times.

We are looking for Relief project workers to join our team within a busy hostel. We are open 365 days a year and deliver a housing Management service working with people who have experienced homelessness. We require bank staff to cover holiday, sickness.  There are 3 shift patterns; 9.00am to 5pm, 10-3 during the day and 4.30pm to 9.30am sleeping in from 12 midnight to 7am.

It is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and creative service with complex clients developing a Psychologically Informed Environment.

You should possess good listening and interpersonal skills, the ability to handle anxiety and stress and recognise personal boundaries in a sometimes, challenging environment. These qualities are important in order to be able to establish an effective working relationship with clients and an eagerness to learn and work with clients in a holistic and client-centred approach. Good numeracy, IT and written communication skills are also required. A clean driving license is desirable.

The pay rate is:  Hourly rate £8.91 plus £1.16 holiday rate therefore a total of £10.07 per hour. There is also an overnight allowance for sleeping in of £48.00.

Enhanced DBS required.
