Why this matters

Mental health and homelessness are closely linked.

Many people experiencing homelessness were already struggling with their mental health before losing their home. Once someone becomes homeless, the trauma and isolation can make those challenges even harder, creating a cycle that’s difficult to break.

At the same time, many people, particularly men, still find it hard to talk about how they’re feeling.

This event is about breaking that isolation through connection.

Two Walk Options

We’ve designed two routes so everyone can take part, whether you want a short, gentle stroll or a slightly longer walk.

Option 1: Short Community Walk

A relaxed loop around Pitchcroft

  • Approx. 1.5–2 km
  • 20–30 minutes
  • Flat and easy

Option 2: Riverside Walk

A scenic route along the River Severn down to Diglis Bridge and back

  • Approx. 4–5 km
  • 45–60 minutes
  • Still accessible, just a little longer
